THE ART PROCESS
Each work of art is started with a basic sketch. Recreation of a nature subject then requires study for gestures and form. The sketch is refined, drawn to a desired scale, and shaded in. Fabrics are hand dyed and appliquéd onto a background with an addition of up to five layers of batting for dimension. Embellishments of vintage buttons or semi-precious stones, and various beads are added for a final touch.
