Nature Knots
There are 600 to 800 French knots per square inch in each piece of artwork. Original designs are drawn then transferred to a hand dyed cotton background fabric. The knots take from 10 to 15 hours to complete. Hand painting and embellishments are added.

Shadow Box Series Three-dimensional specimens have silk embroidered wings. Bodies are hand wound with a variety of threads. Semi-precious stones or beads are applied to make eyes. The background is appliquéd silk with cotton borders.
